Phillies Blown Out by Red Sox

To put things bluntly, tonight's Phillies game was extremely ugly as they fell to the Red Sox 9-3 at Fenway Park.  The Red Sox shelled the Phillies and they just pretty much rolled over and took it.

For a quick break before getting back to the recap, lets take a moment to remember all those who have fought and died for our many freedoms.  We salute you!
Tyler Cloyd received the start tonight and didn't fare well at all, lasting only two and one-thirds innings, while allowing 6 earned runs.  Michael Stutes then came on to pitch two and one-thirds innings while allowing 2 runs, 1 earned.  Jeremy Horst was next, and luckily was able to stop the scoring barrage, as he threw one and one-third scoreless innings.  Antonio Bastardo then tossed a scoreless inning before handing things off to Mike Adams who walked in a run in two-thirds of an inning before Justin De Fratus came on for the final out of the eighth.
On the offensive side, things didn't go so well either, but Ben Revere, Jimmy Rollins, Ryan Howard and John Mayberry Jr. did each collect 2 hits.  Rollins and Howard each notched a double on the evening.  All 3 Phillies runs were courtesy of the long ball, as Erik Kratz hit a solo home run and Dom Brown hit a two run shot, his tenth of the season.
The Phillies will face Boston again tomorrow evening.  Cliff Lee will get the start and hopefully get the Phillies back on track.
