Phillies Drop Fourth In A Row

The Phillies ran their losing streak up to four after dropping last nights series opener to the Twins.  The offense sputtered yet again, and the Phillies fell 3-2 in the end.

This cat couldn't stand to watch so he passed out.  Read on.

Cole Hamels started the game for the Phillies and was solid although inefficient with his pitch count, causing him to only go six innings.  Hamels allowed 2 runs on 7 hits while recording 5 strikeouts.  Justin De Fratus tossed a scoreless seventh, but Mike Adams surrendered a run in his his two-thirds of an inning pitched to take the loss.  Antonio Bastardo got the last out of the eighth, but the Phillies were already trailing.
Not much to talk about on the offensive side of things, but Micahel Young singled home a run in the third and Ryan Howard did the same in the eighth, to account for all the Phillies scoring.  The only thing that could be considered a silver lining is Howard went 2 for 4 on the evening.
The Phillies will face the Twins again tonight, with Tyler Cloyd receiving the start.
